The designer of the coin is sculptor Antanas Žukauskas. The image of the Coat of Arms - Vytis is adapted for the coin by artist Arvydas Každailis. The edge of the coin is divided into five rimmed sections parted by the gaps of plain surface. Three central bars of each section are thicker than the rest.

Obverse: 
The obverse of the coin carries an image of the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Lithuania - Vytis- in the centre. A year of issue - is positioned under it symmetrically to the vertical axis of the coin. Above the Coat of Arms an inscription LIETUVA runs in the form of a semi-circle. The coin has a rim, the inner side of which is plain.
Reverse: 
The reverse shows the number 2, positioned in the centre of the coin symmetrically to its vertical axis, and the inscription LITAI below. The ornament - two groups of curved bars - is placed on both sides of the outside circle (the ring) symmetrically to the vertical axis of the coin. The coin has a rim, the inner side of which is plain.
