The crocus is a symbol of rebirth and spring, as it is one of the first flowers to bloom after winter is over. In Ancient times this charming harbinger of spring was considered to be a symbol of happiness and a flower of Aurora – the Roman goddess of dawn.

Along the rim – inscriptions: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (Republic of Belarus), 10 РУБЛЁЎ (the face value), M/W (the mint mark), 2013 (the year of issue), Ag 925 (the hallmark).  
Reverse: 
In the central part of the coin – a multi-coloured image of a crocus. In the background – a piece of a crocus recreated in relief. Below it, along the rim – an inscription: CROCUS (the name of the sunflower in Latin).
