Buhai

The coin is dedicated to a Ukrainian folk musical instrument made in a form of conical barrel (wooden cylinder). At one end a sheep membrane is stretched with a hole in this skin's center. Through this hole a tuft of horse hair with a knot at one end is passed. Pulling of the horsehair makes a sound similar to the bull roar or bittern boom. This bass instrument is used by folk instrument groups to create funny effects.
Issued into circulation on November 7, 2007.
