400 Years of Krolevetz

Jubilee coin of 5 Hryvnias denomination is dedicated to the city of Krolevetz, the district centre of Sumy region, which was founded in 1601 and already in 1644 obtained the Magdeburg Right. It is one of the trade centres broadly known through its decorative weaving and embroidered towels. In circulation since September 6, 2001.

Obverse: 
On the coin obverse there is a depiction of a colonnade arch (the central entrance to the city recreation park), under it - a fragment of an ornamental pattern, which is used  in Krolevetz embroidered towels; above there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the four line inscription: УКРАЇНА/ 2001/ 5/ ГРИВЕНЬ and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: 
On the coin reverse there is a depiction of the city coat of arms within a frame of geometrical and vegetable ornamental pattern characteristic for Krolevetz , as well as the inscriptions: above - 400 РОКІВ and beneath the conventionalized inscription of КРОЛЕВЕЦЬ.
