City of Sevastopol

Dedicated to the city with a special status, a hero city, located in the southwestern part of the  peninsula, around the unique Sevastopol bay. The city has a long history dating back to the depths of ancient civilization witnessed by the ruins of the Chersonesos of Tavria, the ancient and Byzantine city. The shrine of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church - the place of baptism of Prince Vladimir of Kiev, according to one version, is also located on the territory of the present Chersonese (the city of Korsun by ancient sources).

Obverse: 
On the obverse of the coin there are inscriptions: semicircular inscriptions УКРАЇНА (above), ПЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ (below), in the center - small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which is the year of issue of the coin 2018; to the right is the logo of the Banknote-Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: 
On the reverse of the coin there is a seventh inscription SEVASTOPOL; a composition symbolizing the city: a sailing ship (above), under which one of the symbols of the city is a bridge built in the early twentieth century, an anchor cross, a ship gun and a pyramid of nuclei (on the left), above which are the columns of Chersonese; Below - decorative elements in the form of grape cloves and leaves.
