New Kazakhstan coins Year of the Dog

The National Bank of Kazakhstan has put into circulation 500 tenge gold and silver coins "Year of the Dog" from "". Coins are issued in circulation on August 9th 2017.

In design of coins motives of sculptural composition of the East Calendar fountain of Almaty are used. Authors: the sculptor – the honored worker of arts of Kazakhstan and the muralist V. Tverdokhlebov in collaboration with A. Tatarinov and the architect V. Katsev.

Coins are made in the shape of dodecahedron.

500 tenge silver coin
Fineness: 925 Ag.
Weight: 31.1 gr.
Diameter: 38.61 mm.

Obverse: constellations of the celestial map; inscription «Ag 925 31,1 g.»; inscription «500 ТЕҢГЕ» indicates the denomination of the coin; inscriptions «ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ» in Kazakh and «REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN» in English; stylized image of the sun.

Reverse: An image of the Dog as the symbol of year 2018 of Oriental calendar in the center; trade mark of the Kazakhstan Mint; the number "2018" indicates the year of coinage; inscriptions «ШЫҒЫС КҮНТІЗБЕСІ» in Kazakh, «ВОСТОЧНЫЙ КАЛЕНДАРЬ» in Russian, and «ORIENTAL CALENDAR» in English; an image of the other eleven symbols of Oriental calendar.
