Yuri Voronov

Yuri Nikolaevich Voronov (Russian: Юрий Николаевич Воронов, 8 May 1941 – 11 September 1995) was a politician and academic from Abkhazia who was murdered in front of his apartment on the night of 11 September 1995. At the time of his death, he was Vice Premier and a member of the Abkhazian Supreme Soviet.

Obverse: 
On the obverse side in the central upper part on the mirror field there is a relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Abkhazia, under the Emblem - the inscription in the Abkhaz language «Аҧсны Абанк» and above it there is a semicircular inscription of the coin denomination of 10 apsars. In the right part of the coin there is the Mint trade mark, the indication of the metal according to D. I. Mendeleev Periodic System of Elements, the fineness and weight. In the lower part of the coin on the matted field and on the relief small inscriptions «Аҧсны Абанк» in five lines there is a year of issue “2014”.
Reverse: 
On the reverse side of the coin “Voronov Yurij Nikolaevich” there is a portrait of a well-known scientist-expert in the study of the Caucasus, conspicuous statesman of the Republic of Abkhazia Yurij Nikolaevich Voronov. On the right there are images of archeological finds. At the bottom, below the line there is a two-line inscription in the Abkhaz language: “Yurij Voronov” and the dates “1041-1995”.
