Musrepov Gabit (1902-1985) is a writer, a public figure, a popular writer of Kazakhstan (1984), an academician of Science Academy of Kazakhstan (1958), Hero of Socialistic Labour (1974). Novels "The soldier of Kazakhstan" (1949), "An awakened region" (1953), "Her name is Ulpan" (1976); collection of stories and novels, of which "Once and on whole life" (1967), "Winner" (1975); plays.

Obverse: 
On the face of the coin (averse), on its upper side the state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is located and under it there is a two-line inscription "50 ТЕҢГЕ". From the right and left side of the denomination there is the element of national ornament. On the circumference there is the legend "ҚАЗАҚСТАН YЛТТЫҚ БАНКI" (National Bank of Kazakhstan).
Reverse: 
On the back side of the coin at the central part there is a portrait of G. Musrepov. On the left side of the portrait there are year of birthday "1902" and under its the date "2002" indicated the year of coinage. At the left side on circle a legend "FAБИТ МҮCPEПОВ" is located.
