Coin devoted to the 100th anniversary of Sabit Mukanov. Sabit Mukanov was a classic figure in Kazakh literature, and was a poet, a public figure, and an academician. An autobiographical trilogy "The School of Life", which reflects semi-centennial history of Kazakh people and which was translated into many languages of the world, is of special significance of the creative work of Mukanov

Obverse: 
On the face of the coin (averse), on its upper side the state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is located and under it there is a two-line inscription "50 ТЕҢГЕ". From the right and left side of the denomination there is the element of national ornament. On the circumference there is the legend "ҚАЗАҚСТАН YЛТТЫҚ БАНКI" (National Bank of Kazakhstan).
Reverse: 
On the back side of the coin at the right side, the portrait of Sabit Mukanov appears. On the left side of the portrait, the inscription "100 ЖЫЛ" is located in two rows. At the left side there is a rising legend "СӘБИТ МҰҚАНОВ" in the form of semicircle. At the bottom, the date "2000" indicates the year of coinage.
