Wushu

The “Wushu” silver collector coin has been issued by the Central Bank of Armenia under the international numismatic program “Art of Fighting”.Wushu is a Chinese martial art. The basic moral principle of wushu - “stop conflict and settle peace”. Wushu is not only a fight training, but also serves the purposes of health, character development and discipline. Wushu as a sport was developed in 1949. It consists of both full-contact and exhibition styles. Wushu is widespread and has become an international sport. Official World Wushu Championships are held every two years.The coin issued with colored inks.

The obverse shows the Shaolin Monastery (connected with wushu), surrounded by Chinese dragons arranged around the edge of coins, inscriptions: "The Republic of Armenia" and "1000 Dram" in English and Armenian, and "2011".
Reverse: 
The reverse shows a group of athletes during training, compared to the mountainous landscape, the word "Wushu" in English and Armenian, as well as "Ag925".
