United Nations 50 years

Date of issue: 18 October 1995. The United Nations was established after the World War II and its primary objective is to support and ensure the international peace and to prevent wars. 24 October is celebrated as the United Nations Day annually. On 2 March, 1992 the Republic of Kazakhstan was unanimously admitted to UN members at the 46th session of the UN General Assembly. This coin is being withdrawn from circulation in accordance with order of Board of National Bank of Kazakhstan dated December 23, 2004 No. 182.

Obverse: 
on its upper side the state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is located and under it there is a two-line inscription "20 ТЕҢГЕ". From the right and left side of the denomination there is the element of national ornament. On the circumference there is the legend "ҚАЗАҚСТАН YЛТТЫҚ БАНКI" (National Bank of Kazakhstan).
Reverse: 
at the centre there is a representation of Emblem of 50th Anniversary of United Nations Organisation. At the bottom of right side of the Emblem the years "1945-1995" are indicated. There is a circle inscription in English and Kazakh languages "UNITED NATIONS БIPIKKEН ҰЛТТАР ҰЙЫМЫ".
