Third Millenium

Date of issue: 21 December, 1999. Commemorative silver coin 100 tenge, devoted to the celebration of the third millennium by Kazakhstan. This is the first silver coin of proof quality minted at the Kazakhstan Mint of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

Obverse: 
On the face of the coin in the upper part of polished circle you can see National Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan embedded with octagonal decoration rosette quintuple turned. Figure '100' is in the bottom part of a circle meaning the value of coin. Wide binding isd on the circumference with the legend as 'ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫК БАНКI' in the Kazakh language. 'TENGE' word is in the bottom part with '1999' to the left meaning the engraved year and 'Ag 925' to the right meaning the metal of coin and its grade. Legend on the binding are imressed.
Reverse: 
On the underside on the sections turned to the center and symbolizing the meeting of two milleniums there are some pictures from the past and the signes of the future millenium. On the circumference of the coin there is a wide binding with the Kazakh 'FACЫРЛАР БЕЛГЕСI' legend and Russian 'РУБЕЖ ТЫСЯЧЕЛЕТИЙ' lened separated with the fragment of Kazakh national ornament. Legend and the ornament on binding are impressed.
