Obverse:
Obverse: The State Emblem of Republic of Kazakhstan is placed in the center of the coin. On the circumference an inscription "500 ТЕҢГЕ" indicates coin's face value with inscriptions " ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ" and "РЕСПУБЛИКА КАЗАХСТАН". Inscriptions are divided by dots.
Reverse:
Reverse: An image of the mosque in the city of Zharkent. The name of the coin in Kazakh "ЖАРКЕНТ МЕШІТІ" and Russian "ЖАРКЕНТСКАЯ МЕЧЕТЬ" is placed on the upper part in circumference. Inscription "Ag 925 2008 31,1 gr." with the trade mark of Kazakhstan mint at the bottom means metal, fineness, year of coinage and weight of the coins.
