Obverse: 
In the obverse side of the coin in the upper part there is the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan framed by quintuple turning ornamental eight-point rosette and legend in Kazakh "ҚАЗАҚСТАН YЛТТЫК БАНКI". In the downside there is a figure "500" and a legend "ТЕҢГЕ" indication face value of the coin. To the left of the face value there are trade mark of Kazakhstan mint and legend "31,1 gr.", indicating the coin weight. To the right there is a legend "Ag 925" indication the metal the coin is made of and its standard. Circling the coin are a salient edging and glass band.
Reverse: 
In the reverse side of the coin there is collage of prominent buildings of Astana capital. On the left part there is an inscription in Kazakh «АСТАНА» (Astana), on the right part there is the emblem of Eurasian Economic Community. On the lower part there is an inscription “СТОЛИЦЫ СТРАН ЕВРАЗЭС” (Capitals of EurAsEC countries). Figure ”2008” means year of coinage.
