Golden deer

Date of issue: November 7, 2004. This silver coin is the first coin from the series with the design of gold goods, produced by nomads and found during archeological dig on the territory of Kazakhstan. The coin is made with the technology of gold plating on the surface. Metal-plate in the form of lying deer. Gold. Burial mound. Almaty oblast. End of IV century – beginning of III century B.C. The coin is made in the shape of dodecahedron. Images and legends are relief. Lateral surface is smooth without corrugation and inscriptions

Obverse: 
Obverse: two-line inscription of the fase value "500 ТЕҢГЕ", Kazakhstan Mint trademark, image of four galloping horsemen, vertical inscription "Ag 925 31,1gr." i.e. metal, fineness and weight of the coin. Along the perimeter of the coin wide edging the name of the issuing bank in Kazakh "ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ" and in English "REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN" divided by dots.
Reverse: 
Reverse:  image of metal-plate in the shape of lying deer in the center there is gilded. The name of the coin in Kazakh (АЛТЫНБУГЫ) and in English (THE GOLDEN DEER) above and under the image. Along the perimeter of the coin wide edging the name of the series in Kazakh "КӨШПЕНДІЛЕР АЛТЫНЫ" and in English "THE GOLD OF NOMADS" with year of coinage 2004 divided by dots.
