Scythian Gold. The Wild Boar

The coin is dedicated to a jewelry artifact of the steppe Scythia – the gold figurine of the wild boar (end of the 4th century B.C.) from Khomyna Mohyla kurhan near the village of Nahirne, Dnipropetrovsk oblast’. Issued into circulation on December 24, 2009.

Obverse: 
On the coin obverse within the circle of beads there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine, above it – 2009 (the coin issue year), on the left Au 999,9 (coin metal and its fineness) and on the right – the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint and the coin weight in fineness – 1,24; between the circle and the coin edge there are the semicircular legends: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) above and 2 ГРИВНІ (2 hryvnias) underneath.
Reverse: 
On the coin reversethere is depicted the wild boar figurine with the semicircular inscription thereunder СКІФСЬКЕ ЗОЛОТО (Scythian Gold).
