Board of Bank of Lithuania has approved the results of the contest, which was organized to create the graphic projects of  the commemorative coins dedicated to the 600th anniversary  of the Grunwald Battle. 

The first place project of  J. R. Belevichius has won, the second place – group of authors V. Lukasik, A. Jacuk and S. Zaskevich ftrom Minsk, Belarus, and the third place – V.  Valentas. Projects of the first place winner were approved for the following coins: golden commemorative coin (face value 500 litas), silver commemorative coin (face value 50 litas) and circulation coin (face value 1 litas). Also the scheme of the edge of the coins was confirmed: an image of the 15^th century spearhead (gold and silver coins) and reeds with spaces (CuNi coin). 

The coins will be issued in the second quarter of 2010.
