New Armenian coin 25th anniversary of Collective Security Treaty and 15th annive

16th of January 2017 the Central Bank of Armenia issued a silver commemorative coin 25th anniversary of Collective Security Treaty and 15th anniversary of Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The Collective Security Treaty was signed on 15 May 1992. Intensification of cooperation within the CST member-states led to creation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in 2002.

The CSTO member-states include the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan.
The collective security, stability, territorial integrity and sovereignty of member-states are the main principles of the activities of the CSTO.
The initiatives for foreign policy coordination within the CSTO, strengthening defense potential and in response to threats and challenges are in the focus of attention by the Republic of Armenia.

Minted in the Lithuanian Mint.
 
Technical characteristics of the coin: mintage 200 pcs, the face value is 1000 drams. The coin is made of 925 fine silver; diameter 40 mm and weight 33.6 grams.
