The coin is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine.

Obverse: 
On the obverse of the 5 hryvnias coin above there is engraved the Small National Emblem of Ukraine, below - the inscriptions: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ/ БАНК/ УКРАЇНИ/ 2006/ 5/ ГРИВЕНЬ (National Bank /of Ukraine/ 5/ hryvnia/ 2006); the Small National Emblem of Ukraine and the coin face value are enframed in conventionalized flowers; and the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
Reverse: 
On the reverse  there is a column base, as a symbol of law, enframed in conventionalized ornament pattern, there are engraved the following inscriptions: КОНСТИТУЦІЯ/ УКРАЇНИ (Constitution of Ukraine) above the column and 28/ ЧЕРВНЯ/ 1996 (28/June/ 1996 ) on the ribbon crossing the column.
