New Abkhazian coin Bgazhba Khukhut Solomonovich

On December 1st, 2014 the Bank of Abkhazia issues into circulation the silver commemorative coin "Bgazhba Khukhut Solomonovich" of 10 apsars denomination of the series "".

The silver coin  "Yuri Voronov" of 10 apsars denomination of the series  fine precious metal content 31,1g, finennes 925, diameter 39,0 mm.

The rim is raised on both sides of the coin. The edge of the coin is corrugated. The quality of the coin is proof-like. Mintage: 500 pcs. Coinage - 

On the obverse side in the central upper part on the mirror field there is a relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Abkhazia, under the Emblem - the inscription in the Abkhaz language «Аҧсны Абанк» and above it there is a semicircular inscription of the coin denomination of 10 apsars. In the right part of the coin there is the Mint trade mark, the indication of the metal according to D. I. Mendeleev Periodic System of Elements, the fineness and weight. In the lower part of the coin on the matted field and on the relief small inscriptions «Аҧсны Абанк» in five lines there is a year of issue “2014”.
 
On the reverse side of the coin “Bgazhba Khukhut Solomonovich” in its centre there is a portrait of a well-known scientist-expert in the study of Abkhazia, linguist, theorist of literature and folklorist Khukhut Solomonovich Bgazhba. In the lower part of the portrait – the scientist’s signature, facsimile. Below and on the right along the circumference there is the inscription in the Abkhaz language “Khukhut Bgazhba”. In the middle, to the left of the portrait there are dates “1914” and “2000”.

The coin is a legal tender of the Republic of Abkhazia at par value equivalent to Russian rubles. 1 apsar is equal to 10 rubles of the Russian Federation.
