200th Anniversary of Taras Shevchenko

Taras Shevchenko was a famous Kobza player, poet, prose writer, and artist. The city of Aktau bore his name for a time. Today the city of Fort Shevchenko in Mangistau region of Kazakhstan, which is located on the Mangyshlak peninsula (Cape Tyubkaragan), bears this name.

Reverse: 
An image of Taras Shevchenko and two Ukrainian ornamental inserts; inscriptions «ТАРАС ШЕВЧЕНКО» in Russian and «200 ЖЫЛ/РОКIВ» in state and Ukrainian languages; «2014» at the upper sector means year of coinage; protruding edge along the circumference.
