Baiturrahman

Baiturrahman Mosque is located in the center of the city Banda Aceh, Aceh Province, Indonesia (the north of Sumatra Island). The Mosque is of great symbolic significance for the people of the Province as a symbol of religion and culture; moreover, the mosque has survived the destructive tsunami of 2004 and remained undamaged.

Obverse: 
In the central part of the face (obverse) of the gold coin “Baiturrahman” there is a composition consisting of an image of stylized arch, which symbolizes an entrance into Islamic shrines; heraldic spiral and legend “500 TENGE” denoting the face value of the coin. To the right of the face value figures there is an inscription “Au 999”, which denotes the fineness of metal a coin is made of. On full-circle there is inscription “ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ” (KAZAKSTAN ULTTYK BANKI”) (NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN”) in the state language; logo of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and number “2013” denoting the year of coinage and trademark of Kazakhstan mint.
Reverse: 
In the center of the back side (reverse) of the coin there is an image of BAITURRAHMAN mosque. In the upper sector there is an inscription “BAITURRAHMAN” in the English language. There is a full-circle protruding edge.
