Lev Yashin

This silver commemorative coin with nominal value Dram 100, issued by the Central Bank of Armenia, is dedicated to Lev Yashin. The coin has been issued under the International Program “The Kings of Football”. Lev Yashin (1929–1990) was a Russian, Soviet football goalkeeper. Lev Yashin is the only goalkeeper ever to win the European Footballer of the Year Playing in “Dynamo” Moscow and USSR National Team he has stopped around 150 penalty kicks, far more than any other goalkeeper in history. Award (1963). In 1994 FIFA established the Lev Yashin Award for the best goalkeeper at the World Cup finals. IFFHS polls named Yashin as the best goalkeeper of the 20 th century. The coin issued with colored inks.

Below the logo, a nominal value, 100 Dram (the name of the nominal value in Armenian language). Below it, the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Armenia placed in the middle of the year of issue (2008).
Reverse: 
In the central part, an image of Lev Yashin on the background of a stylized national flag of USSR with an image of a ball. At the top on the edge, a semicircular inscription: “Lev Yashin”. At the bottom, a hand signature of Yashin.
