Zbigniew Boniek

This silver commemorative coin with nominal value Dram 100, issued by the Central Bank of Armenia, is dedicated to Zbigniew Boniek. The coin has been issued under the International Program “The Kings of Football”. Zbigniew Boniek (born 3 March 1956) is a Polish footballer and coach. FIFA included him in the list of 100 best-ever football players. Boniek was one of the best dribblers of his time and displayed superb technique. In 1982 he won a bronze medal as part of the Polish team at the FIFA World Cup. While playing with “Juventus” he won the Cup Winners' Cup and the European Super Cup in 1984, and the European Cup in 1985. Boniek finished his professional career at “Roma” in 1988. Zbigniew Boniek represented Poland in 80 international games. The coin issued with colored inks.

In the central part, an image of Zbigniew Boniek on the background of a stylized national flag of the Republic of Poland with an image of a ball. At the top on the edge, a semicircular inscription: "Zbigniew Boniek", at the bottom a hand signature of Zbigniew Boniek.

In the central part, the logo of the "Kings of Football" series. At the top, a semicircular inscription in Armenian language. Below the logo, a nominal value, 100 Dram (the name of the nominal value in Armenian language). Below it, the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Armenia placed in the middle of the year of issue (2009).
