Franz Beckenbauer

This silver commemorative coin with nominal value Dram 100, issued by the Central Bank of Armenia, is dedicated to Franz Beckenbauer. The coin has been issued under the International Program “The Kings of Football”. Franz Beckenbauer (born 11 September 1945) is a former German football player nicknamed " der Kaiser" (the Emperor) because of his elegant style, leadership qualities and dominance on the football pitch. He was twice selected the European Footballer of the Year. With the club Bayern Munich, he won three European Cups (1974-1976) and the Cup Winners' Cup (1967). Beckenbauer appeared 103 times for West Germany and played in three World Cups winning it twice - in 1974 and 1990. Beckenbauer is regarded as the greatest German footballer of all time.

In the central part of the coin is the logo of the " Kings of Football ( Football Kings ). located on the edge of the inscription " The Republic of Armenia "in Armenian (top) and English (bottom) . Under the logo of the series is given the denomination of the coin - Dram 100 (name in Armenian ). The following year of issue appears in 2009 , is placed in the middle coat of the Republic of Armenia.
Reverse: 
In the central part of the coin is placed bust Beckenbauer . At the top there is a semicircular inscription "Franz Beckenbauer" at the bottom of the handwritten signature Franz Beckenbauer . In the background - ball, leaving behind a trail in the colors of the flag of Germany.
