Obverse: 
Present-day architecture of the white-marble capital represented by the magnificent Oguzkhan Presidential Palace Complex, the Monument of Constitution, the complex of fountains with the statues of the historical personalities of the Turkmen nation, Turkmenistan Broadcasting Centre, new administrative buildings of Turkmen ministries and departments is depicted on the obverse of the 50-manat coins of the AŞGABAT GALKYNYŞ EÝÝAMYNYDA series. The legends AŞGABAT GALKYNYŞ EÝÝAMYNYDA and ELLI MANAT (fifty manats) and the hallmark and weight of the rarities are inscribed in a circle of the coin.
Reverse: 
The State Emblem of Turkmenistan with the legend TÜRKMENISTANYŇ GARAŞSYZLYGYNA 20 ÝYL and two crossing olive branches are depicted in the centre of the reverse side of the numismatic souvenirs. The reverse side also bears the inscription of the years of independence 1991-2011.
