Commemorative coins "Manas-1000",

devoted to the millenary of the epic "Manas"

In commemoration of the millenary of the epic "Manas", the National Bank issued the jubilee silver coins of 10-som denomination on August 11,1995.

The numismatic jubilee coins "Manas-1000" are the first coins in a history of independent Kyrgyz Republic. They are minted from silver and have the first-rate international quality "proof".

The coins are placed in cases made by the Association of National Art Crafts "Kyal" (Kyrgyzstan) from valuable kinds of wood - nut burl.

The certificate and the booklet are attached to each coin with the brief description of the coin.

Kyrgyzstan 1995 Manas-1000 Silver
Obverse: 
On the obverse of the silver coin Manas riding the horse is painted high above the snow of the Kyrgyzstan ridges. The height and beauty of the mountains are emphasized by the golden eagle sailing above the mountains. The par value "10 som" is indicated in the bottom part of the coin. In the left part there is the code indicating the weight of the coin and fineness of silver (Ag 925/28,28).
Reverse: 
On the reverse of the coin there is the emblem of the Kyrgyz Republic and the year of issue of the coin framed by the national ornament. In the center of the emblem against the lake and the shoots of the Ala-Too with the rising sun, there is the image of the white falcon with the widespread wings, symbolizing freedom and independence of Kyrgyzstan.
