Kyrylo Rozumovskyi

The commemorative coin of 10 Hryvnias denomination is dedicated to the count Kyrylo Rozumovskyi, the last Hetman of the Left Bank Ukraine (1728 – 1803), a well educated person, the president of the Petersburg Academy of Sciences,  field marshal, chamberlain and senator. During his hetmanship many important reforms were implemented: judicial and military reform, national census, as well as longstanding Ukrainian rights and privileges were asserted. In circulation since November 27, 2003.

Obverse: 
On the coin obverse there is a depiction of the general for this series composition symbolizing the national idea of Unification of Ukraine: the emblematic figures of the Saint Michael Archistrategos, the patron of Kiev and the crowned lion of L'viv principality hold the Small State Emblem of Ukraine. There are as well conventionalized inscriptions: УКРАЇНА / 2003 / 10 / ГРИВЕНЬ, the Mint logo of the National bank of Ukraine, and Ag 925, the designation of metal and 31,1, its pure weight.
Reverse: 
On the coin reverse within beads circle a half-length portrait of Kylylo Rozumovskyi is depicted, to the left there is his coat of arm; on the background there is a cathedral devoted to the Christmas of Virgin Mary in Kozelets. Between the coin's outer rim and the beads circle there is an conventionalized inscription: КИРИЛО РОЗУМОВСЬКИЙ - above and 1728 - 1803, his years of life - beneath.
