Chariot

issued in 1 July, 2006. Series of coins called "Petroglyphs of Kazakhstan", devoted to rock painting from ancient times. A part of petrogliph "Chariot" is used in the design of this coins. Arpauzen tract, Karatau ridge, South Kazakhstan. The Bronze Age, second half of II millennium B.C.

Obverse: 
On the obverse of the coin against a background of the national ornament elements, the figure "500" is shown under it there is the inscription "ТЕҢГЕ", indicating the face value of the coin. On the upper side of the coin there is a heraldic representation of a spiral and the legend "Ag 925 24 gr." indicates the metal of the coin, its standard and weight and the trademark of the Kazakhstan Mint. On the lower side figure "2005" indicates year of coinage. Circling the coin is a wide salient edging, on which the legend "ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ" in the Kazakh language. Legends are pressed in the edging.
Reverse: 
At the back side of the coin on smooth background there is an image of rock painting dated to second half of II millennium B.C.. Circling the coin is a wide salient edging, on which the legends "АРБА • АРПАӨЗЕН ШАТҚАЛЫ" in Kazakh, and "CHARIOT • ARPAUZEN TRACT" in English, are located. Legends are pressed in the edging..
